Homeless man ends up in prison for a bottle of vodka

A homeless man has been charged with stealing a £6.79 bottle of vodka and Matalan goods. Paul James Hayes pleaded guilty on the 6th of February as he appeared before Canterbury Magistrate. While on probation for the first offence of stealing a bottle of vodka, Hayes stole Matalan goods worth £34, which were later recovered.

Letting agencies and landlords met some of their future tenants on 20th of January at the Student Accommodation fair at the Students’ Union in Canterbury Christ Church University’s campus.
